As my passion for reading, art, poetry, and cuisine continues to grow, so does my desire to share it — and to invite others along. Through this growing journey of life, I have seen a genuine commonality among individuals and community. May I share with you what I have been working on over the last few weeks?

I have been spending some time refocusing on what it is I’m trying to accomplish through my blogging. What I have discovered is that what I’m sincerely yearning for online is a similar community that I have been developing offline. I spend hours each week in coffee shops and cafes sharing and interacting with friends, new acquaintances, and even total strangers. I’ve had individuals join me at a table when they see what I’m reading as I sip my cappuccino. Friends ask me to meet them and share some of what I might recommend they read. I’ve had friends reach out to engage me about some of my travel experiences, where we begin a mutual exchange before and after their trip. Recently a family member has traveled to meet me to attend a local Impressionist exhibit at our local art museum. The one activity all this shares is — conversation.
